The Independent Wine Company is a trinity of specialties inspired and connected by Good Wine, Good Food, and Good people; Indiewines.ca, The Italian Wine Academy, and GetOuttaTown Tours.

IndieWines.ca is a high-touch agency, bringing world class wines and spirits to wine-lovers across Ontario. You will find our selections available directly through us, just say hello, on quality restaurant wine lists, at fledgling bottle shops that are cheerfully dotting our neighbourhoods, and Vintages and LCBO Online stores.

The Italian Wine Academy, our earliest foray in the wine world, has been conducting certificate wine education programs on location in coordination with Italy's finest wineries and vineyards since 1986. Programs are at minimum a week-long, conducted in English​, and are tailored for either wine lovers or wine professionals. Every program is bespoke. Truth be told, though we started in Italy we have offered programs in all the world's major wine regions, we have just never found time to think of a catchy new name.

Our newest endeavour, Get Outta Town Tours, is a local offering for the good people of Toronto. We are hopeful the summer will bring us good news, allowing us to offer fun day-trip and weekend winery, vineyard picnic, and bicycle tours to Niagara, Prince Edward County and the up-and-coming Georgian Bay wine regions. It is a great opportunity for city-folk without cars to safely get out outta town with lots of space in the great outdoors. The programs are designed as an alternative to our more substantial international programs currently on hold due to SARS-CoV-2 travel restrictions. Get your vaccines friends!
